Endorsement: Given the current climate crisis that we face, it is imperative that all major institutions adopt a clear and effective climate action strategy. The CAUA's Climate Action Plan provides just that, and is an important demonstration of the commitment UofA can make towards environmental justice and climate care.

Detailed Bio: Jared Blustein holds a MA in sociology from Simon Fraser University, and is the Executive Director for the Calgary Climate Hub. In 2019, he founded The Allium Worker Owned Cooperative Restaurant in Calgary, Alberta, in order to demonstrate a more equitable and sustainable form of work and economy. Prior to his role at the Calgary Climate Hub, he was a program manager at The Arusha Centre Society, running the Arusha Climate Program, as well as a complementary currency program at partnering affordable housing agencies. He has a long history of activism and volunteerism, and has held a number of Board positions in the cooperative sector.
Organizational description: The Calgary Climate Hub is a volunteer-led, non-profit organization that unites a diverse group of Calgarians committed to working together to support meaningful local action on climate change. We represent a variety of communities, industries, cultures and causes. We believe that a broad and diverse range of Calgarians and organizations need to be engaged on the climate crisis to develop impactful solutions that fit our unique political and economic circumstances.
